3rd Congress of the Polish Medical Diaspora

Wrocław Medical University is the scientific partner of the 3rd Congress of the Polish Medical Diaspora. The event, held under the theme “Medical Innovations and Patient Welfare”, will take place on 10–12 September in Wrocław. The speakers will include representatives of the university, among them its Rector, Prof. Piotr Ponikowski.

The meeting, addressed to physicians, researchers, and medical students from around the world, has been organized by the Federation of Polish Medical Organizations Abroad since 1991. This year’s program will include 30 thematic sessions devoted to cardiology, oncology, psychiatry, dentistry, regenerative medicine, artificial intelligence, war trauma, and robotic surgery. Discussion panels, workshops, and debates are also planned.

– We intend to present the opportunities offered by modern technologies, artificial intelligence, and personalized medicine, while also emphasizing the key role played by the patient in the world of medical innovation, as well as the patient’s relationship with and trust in the doctor – explains Kornelia Król, President of the Federation of Polish Medical Organizations Abroad. The event will also provide an opportunity to exchange experiences and establish new professional contacts.

The Rector of Wrocław Medical University sits on the Honorary Committee of the Congress. Prof. Piotr Ponikowski, together with Prof. Marzena Dominiak, is also a member of the event’s Scientific Committee. Piotr Marczyński and Adam Zawadzki are ambassadors of Wrocław Medical University.
