Implementation Doctorate

The main goal of the programme is to create conditions for developing cooperation between the University and its socio-economic environment, carried out within the framework of the Doctoral School. This cooperation involves educating doctoral students in partnership with the enterprises or institutions that employ them. The doctoral student is expected to prepare a dissertation that improves the functioning of the company.

Working under the supervision of two mentors — an academic supervisor (promoter) and an industrial supervisor (auxiliary supervisor) — the doctoral student carries out tasks aimed at solving a specific technological problem. One of the advantages of this programme is its structure, which allows the doctoral student to receive dual remuneration: one from their employer and the other as a scholarship funded by the Ministry of Education and Science (MEiN).

The University also receives financial support to cover the costs of using research infrastructure for the doctoral student’s scientific work related to their dissertation.

The benefits for the enterprise include finding solutions to specific technological challenges through research projects, supporting the professional development of employees by enabling them to earn a doctoral degree, and strengthening research and development cooperation with the University.

To participate in the programme, the candidate must be (or become) employed full-time by an enterprise or another institution that agrees to their education within the Doctoral School framework and provides an auxiliary supervisor from among its staff.
