New Directions in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

The International School of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and the Department and Clinic of Psychiatry at Wroclaw Medical University invite you to the conference “New Directions in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. Neurodevelopmental Perspective in Individual Therapy and Couples Psychotherapy in the TFP Model.”


The event will take place on 15–16 November at the Wroclaw Medical University’s Center for Medical Information and Research.

The conference will focus on contemporary trends in the development of psychodynamic psychotherapy.
The programme includes workshops, clinical supervision sessions led by experienced specialists, a discussion panel titled “New Directions in Psychotherapy,” and lectures such as:

  • New Perspectives on Understanding Mental Disorders
  • Framework of Couple Therapy Based on the TFP Model
  • Can Temperament Be Modified? The Influence of the Moro Reflex on Psychological Symptoms and Personality Development
  • Introduction to Strategies and Techniques of Couple Therapy in the TFP Model
  • Embodied Language – The Usefulness of the Concept in Treating Personality Pathology
  • Polish Version of the Revised Structured Interview of Personality Organization (STIPO-R-PL)
  • The Impact of Neuroscience on Psychotherapy – A Practical Perspective

Participants will learn innovative approaches combining classical psychodynamics with the latest discoveries in neuroscience, gain practical tools for working with couples and in individual therapy, and have the opportunity to meet internationally recognized experts, including Mark Solms, the founder of neuropsychoanalysis.

The event is held under the honorary patronage of Prof. Piotr Ponikowski, Rector of Wroclaw Medical University.
