The conference “Connections in the AHR: A Ticket to Multiple Destinations in Health, Disease, and Therapy” will take place from September 29 to October 2 at the Fundação Engenheiro António de Almeida in Porto, Portugal.
The Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor (AHR) has emerged as a powerful integrator of biological signals, linking environmental cues, metabolism, immunity, and gene regulation. From fundamental mechanisms to clinical applications, AHR research is opening new avenues for understanding health, disease, and therapeutic innovation.
This conference will bring together researchers, clinicians, and industry professionals from diverse disciplines to explore how AHR-driven pathways shape biological systems and how these insights can be translated into novel interventions.
The program will highlight cutting-edge research in areas including:
- AHR signaling in homeostasis and disease (e.g., cancer, infection, metabolic disorders, barrier function, neurological diseases)
- Therapeutic targeting of AHR and pathway modulation
- Emerging technologies and models to study AHR biology
- AHR structure–function relationships
This event is designed for scientists, clinicians, and trainees interested in immunology, cancer research, toxicology, metabolism, and therapeutic development.
