Dance, music, singing, regional dishes and costumes, and the search for the legendary fern flower – on 20 June, Pawłowicki Park will become a colorful and multicultural meeting place. As part of the Wrocław Festival 2026, the event “Together in Wrocław: Great Wrocław Picnic and Midsummer Night” will be held. This year, participants will also be able to support the Hospice for Children of Lower Silesia “Formuła Dobra”.
The stage will host groups presenting and preserving Polish, Lemko, Ukrainian, Karaim, Tatar, Greek, German, and Japanese traditions. The program includes music, dance, and theatre performances, a Japanese swordsmanship show, a joint flash mob, choir performances, and concerts.
The festivities begin at 12:00 with the Children’s Joy Stage. Following the official opening, the Stage Without Borders will continue the celebration with Kapusta Band, the Karaim Folklore Ensemble “Dostłar”, the Lemko Song and Dance Ensemble “Kyczera”, Studenty Tanciujut, Re-Karpaty, the Song and Dance Ensemble “Wrocław”, and groups sharing German and Japanese culture. As evening falls, Magical Midsummer Night performances by Tołhaje and Karczmarze, along with the Lemko Sobótka ritual by the bonfire, will bring further joy and tradition.
As night falls from 21:00 to 23:00, the park becomes aglow with the light installation “Bloom at Night – Follow the Trail of the Fern Flower,” completing the event with a magical Midsummer celebration.
The program will also include workshops, such as origami, wreath-making, painting, beekeeping, reading Tatar fairy tales, and tying turbans, as well as activities for children, field cuisine, handicrafts, world cuisines, and a sports zone with a military obstacle course, basic hand-to-hand combat training, and outdoor chess.
