Events and gatherings
The rules for organising gatherings on university premises are set out in Article 52 of the Law on Higher Education and Science:
- Members of the university community have the right to organize gatherings on university premises. Holding a gathering in university facilities requires the Rector’s consent.
- Organizers must notify the Rector of their intention to hold a gathering at least 24 hours before it begins. In justified urgent cases, the Rector may accept notification submitted within a shorter timeframe.
- The Rector refuses consent under paragraph 1 or bans a gathering if its purpose or programme violates the law.
- The Rector may delegate a representative to attend the gathering.
- Organizers are accountable to the university authorities for the course of the gathering.
- he Rector, or their representative, after warning the organisers, shall dissolve the gathering if it is conducted in breach of the law.
