Where are the limits of digitalisation in medicine? Can algorithms outperform clinical intuition? How can innovation be successfully implemented in healthcare, and why do so many promising ideas fail to make it into everyday practice? We will explore these questions during the “Lower Silesian Health Innovation Days”, organised on 24–25 November by Wroclaw Medical University and the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
On the first day, during the “MedTech or TechMed? Driven by AI” conference, we will discuss where the capabilities of artificial intelligence end and a physician’s experience begins, how to connect the needs of healthcare providers with the potential of the technology sector, and how to use digital tools safely and in compliance with the law.
The programme will also feature a talk by Sylwia Czubkowska, co-host of the Techstorie podcast and author of the book “Bóg techy”, as well as a Pitch VC Session, during which startups and students will present their ideas.
During the Lower Silesian Innovation Forum, we will turn our attention to the challenges of implementing new solutions in healthcare, attracting investors and scaling MedTech companies internationally, as well as building trust in new medical technologies in the age of AI and disinformation.
We will also look at how the European Health Data Space (EHDS) will change access to and the use of health data, how to strengthen national health security, and what can be gained from cooperation between the public and private sectors.
Participants will also have access to an exhibition area and a dedicated space for networking, exchanging experiences and discussing potential cooperation.
Participation is free of charge.
The event is co-financed by the European Union under the European Funds for Lower Silesia 2021–2027 programme. Project: “Innovative Lower Silesia”.
