From 9 to 10 March 2026, the University Clinical Hospital in Wrocław will host the 8th Forum on Quality and Safety in Healthcare—a nationwide event dedicated to the culture of safety, leadership accountability, and decision-making in high-stakes situations, often under time pressure and intense emotions.
The Forum provides a space for substantive debate on building a healthcare system grounded in quality, resilience in the face of crises, and the ability to learn from experience—including difficult lessons. The organisers emphasise that patient safety is not merely part of a strategy or a system requirement, but a commitment of the medical community and a foundation of public trust in medicine.
A key highlight of the programme will be the ceremonial presentation of the “Quality Through the Patient’s Eyes” awards for 2024 and 2025, recognising the importance of the patient perspective in organisational and clinical decision-making.
The event’s content is overseen by the Scientific Committee, chaired by Dr. Agnieszka Zdęba-Mozoła (PhD) and Dr. hab. Izabela Witczak. The Forum is organised by the Organising Committee, comprising Anna Paluchiewicz and Małgorzata Gdesz.

The Forum is addressed to medical professionals, healthcare managers, quality experts, and to everyone involved in advancing safe, modern healthcare in Poland.
The Forum is held under the honorary patronage of His Magnificence the Rector, Professor Piotr Ponikowski (MD, PhD, DSc).
