Wrocław Medical University invites you to participate in a free workshop entitled “Hate Speech – The Scale of the Phenomenon and Ways to Protect Yourself.” The event, led by Prof. Dorota Szcześniak and Prof. Bartłomiej Stańczykiewicz from the Department and Clinic of Psychiatry at Wrocław Medical University, will take place on Tuesday, 16 June.
The meeting will focus on the psychological challenges of contemporary academic teaching. It will address mechanisms related to professional role overload, burnout, passive aggression, and microviolence in relationships with students and in the workplace.
Participants will learn about the psychological consequences of generational change in education, the impact of new forms of communication on academic relationships, and ways to protect their own psychological boundaries.
The practical part will focus on de-escalation communication and responding to difficult situations, such as aggressive messages, challenges to authority, provocations, or conflicts related to assessment and grading.
The workshop will also provide an opportunity to reflect on the well-being of academic teachers and the available forms of support.
The event is intended for people actively involved in educational and communication activities related to health promotion and the popularization of medical knowledge.
The number of places is limited. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis via the form.
