Hypertension, prevention, patient education, and collaboration between medical professions will be the focus of the “Keeping the Pressure Under Control” conference, which will take place on 14 May 2026 at Wroclaw Medical University.
The program includes an opening lecture by Professor Donata Kurpas entitled “Keeping the Pressure Under Control – Between the Body, Mind and Environment: Why Treatment Begins Beyond the Prescription”, a dean’s panel, and a session on the role of different medical professions in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of hypertension.
Participants will discuss health policy, diagnostics, pharmacotherapy, patient education, diet, stress, care for pregnant women, and emergency response. A separate part of the conference will be prepared by WMU multidisciplinary student teams, who will present educational and preventive activities designed for patients.
The event will conclude with a joint blood pressure measurement and the presentation of the results of a screening study carried out by students on the day of the conference.
