Events and gatherings

The rules for organising gatherings on university premises are set out in Article 52 of the Law on Higher Education and Science:


  1. Members of the university community have the right to organize gatherings on university premises. Holding a gathering in university facilities requires the Rector’s consent.
  2. Organizers must notify the Rector of their intention to hold a gathering at least 24 hours before it begins. In justified urgent cases, the Rector may accept notification submitted within a shorter timeframe.
  3. The Rector refuses consent under paragraph 1 or bans a gathering if its purpose or programme violates the law.
  4. The Rector may delegate a representative to attend the gathering.
  5. Organizers are accountable to the university authorities for the course of the gathering.
  6. he Rector, or their representative, after warning the organisers, shall dissolve the gathering if it is conducted in breach of the law.
