On Friday, February 20, 2026, we welcomed the Erasmus+ students who arrived to study during the summer semester.
On that day, our Welcome Centre was filled with diverse languages, accents, and stories from the participants. Students came from Ukraine, Romania, Germany, Austria, and Italy, and from the very first moments, the atmosphere was one of curiosity and friendliness.
The first meeting took place at the Welcome Centre and served as an introductory session. Students attended short presentations that helped them understand the rules at the University and get acquainted with key organizational information. They were introduced to the course structure, practical tips, and the opportunities offered by studying at our university.
After the official part, students went on a walking tour of Wrocław to discover the city’s unique character. The tour began at Ostrów Tumski, the historic center of Wrocław. Narrow cobblestone streets, historic townhouses, and the majestic towers of St. John the Baptist Cathedral left a strong impression on the participants.
The next stop was a visit to Ossolineum, and during the rest of the walk, students had the chance to spot Wrocław’s famous dwarfs.
The final stage of the tour was the Market Square (Rynek) – the vibrant heart of the city, perfectly showcasing how Wrocław harmoniously combines historic charm with modern elements.
The day ended with a shared lunch, providing an opportunity for further integration and relationship-building among the participants. We hope that participating in the Erasmus+ program at our university will be a valuable and inspiring experience for all students.
