At the invitation of the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), we encourage students to participate in the ESMO Course in Medical Oncology for Medical Students, which will take place from 24–28 July 2026 in Valencia, Spain.
This is an annual, four-day, in-person course aimed at 4th- and 5th-year medical students from around the world. The organizers have allocated 90 spots for participants, and selected students will receive free course registration, accommodation, and a travel grant.
The main goal of the course is to introduce students to topics related to clinical oncology, which are often not extensively covered in standard medical curricula. The program also includes the analysis and discussion of clinical cases using an interdisciplinary approach, as well as opportunities to engage with the student community through a specially designed educational program that develops the knowledge and experience of future physicians.
