Fulbright Junior Research Award 2027–28

The Fulbright Junior Research Award 2027–28 is a program for Polish citizens pursuing doctoral degrees at Polish academic or research institutions. The scholarship, lasting from 4 to 10 months, supports the implementation of an individual research project at a U.S. university, non-profit research institute, or non-governmental organization, related to the applicant’s doctoral dissertation. Applications are accepted from all academic disciplines, except for projects requiring direct contact with patients. The application period runs from May 12 to October 13, 2026.

The Fulbright Research Award at Stanford University School of Medicine 2027–28 is intended for Polish citizens pursuing doctoral studies at Polish academic or research institutions in the fields of cell, molecular, or structural biology, biochemistry, biophysics, or related disciplines, excluding projects requiring direct patient contact. The scholarship, lasting from 8 to 10 months, enables recipients to carry out one of the research projects proposed by the Rogala Lab, aligned with the subject of their doctoral dissertation. The award is part of the Junior Research Award program and is offered in cooperation with the Rogala Lab. The application period runs from May 12 to October 13, 2026.

Fulbright STEM Impact Award 2027–28

The Fulbright STEM Impact Award 2027–28 is designed for Polish citizens leading STEM research projects and employed at Polish academic or scientific institutions. The scholarship supports a short-term (2–6 weeks) research or research-and-teaching project in the United States and provides an opportunity to expand knowledge in science commercialization or effective grant proposal writing. The program is intended for academic and research staff with experience in managing research projects and supervising other researchers. The application period runs from May 12 to October 30, 2026.

Fulbright Polish Studies Award 2027–28

The Fulbright Polish Studies Award 2027–28 (formerly the Slavic Award) is a teaching scholarship intended for Polish citizens holding at least a doctoral degree and employed at Polish higher education institutions. The program is designed for scholars whose academic interests focus on Polish culture (including literature, media, and art), or on the history, politics, and economics of Poland in the European context or in relation to Polish-American relations. The scholarship enables recipients to teach at one of two universities cooperating with the Polish-American Fulbright Commission: The Ohio State University in Columbus (OSU) or the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC).
