Kid AID is a multimodal system designed to support the non-invasive assessment of a child’s general condition and the medical triage process. The solution uses artificial intelligence to assist young physicians in observing pediatric patients, identifying alarming symptoms, and making decisions regarding further treatment.

“Over years of practice, we build our clinical intuition. Careful observation of a young patient in the emergency department is crucial. Kid AID is intended to digitalize expert intuition — to translate what I see as a pediatrician into the world of algorithms in order to objectively assess a child’s condition and support decisions regarding hospitalization. This is a solution with the potential to succeed internationally,” said Kamila Ludwikowska during the gala.

The technology analyzes, among other factors, the child’s general appearance and behavior, movement patterns, responses to stimuli, and breathing characteristics. Based on this data, it can support the identification of symptoms such as breathing difficulties, cyanosis, abnormal muscle tone, or lack of eye contact. The system also has educational value, helping young medical professionals conduct pediatric consultations in accordance with good clinical practice.

The Money.pl Awards recognize companies, projects, and individuals shaping trends in business and technology while combining innovation with social responsibility. The 2026 edition marked the eighth edition of the competition. Winners were selected by a jury composed of representatives of business, technology, and the editorial teams of Money.pl and Wirtualna Polska.

Kid AID had previously been recognized in the 26th edition of the Polish Future Product competition organized by Polish Agency for Enterprise Development. The project received a special award in the information and communication technologies category, as well as a distinction in the category for joint future products developed by higher education and research institutions in cooperation with entrepreneurs.
