The Buddy Programme supports international students arriving at our university within the Erasmus+ programme and helps them feel welcome from the very first days of their mobility.

Who is an Erasmus Buddy?

An Erasmus Buddy is a mentor and guide for an international student. Buddies support incoming students during their first days after arrival, help with practical matters and formalities, and introduce them to the university and the city of Wrocław. Throughout the mobility period, Buddies stay in touch with their international peers, offering both organisational and social support and helping them adapt to academic and everyday life in Poland.

As an Erasmus Buddy, you will:

• be the first point of contact for an incoming international student

• support them in everyday matters (accommodation, office visits, Urban Card)

• show them the university and the city, including its best places

• help them navigate UMW and organise their study schedule

What do you gain?

• practical use of English in real-life situations

• valuable intercultural experience

• participation in Erasmus+ events and trips

• an additional point in the Erasmus+ recruitment process

• friendships that often last beyond the exchange period
