From 19 to 23 October 2026, our University hosted Prof. Piranit Kantaputra from Chiang Mai, Thailand, who visited as part of a mobility programme under the Erasmus+ KA171 scheme. The host unit was the Department of General and Experimental Pathology, Chair of Clinical and Experimental Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, under the supervision of Dr Irena Duś-Ilnicka, a professor at the University. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to continue cooperation with the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, where the visit was coordinated by Dr Anna Paradowska-Stolarz, the Erasmus+ programme coordinator at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry.

The visit provided an opportunity for numerous meetings, an exchange of experiences and an insight into the activities of our University. Among the key items on the agenda was a meeting with the Vice-Rector for Internationalisation, Prof. Marzena Dominiak, and Prof. Mieszko Więckiewicz, editor-in-chief of the journal “Dental and Medical Problems”.

During his stay, the Professor delivered lectures and familiarised himself with the activities of selected departments and the University’s infrastructure, including the teaching hospital, the Medical Simulation Centre, the library and the university campus. A key element of the visit was a series of meetings with representatives of the University, dedicated to exchanging experiences in the fields of research and teaching, identifying common areas of research, and discussing opportunities for developing long-term international cooperation, including academic staff and student exchanges.
