We are pleased to announce the opportunity to obtain funding for collaboration with the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) through the new EMERALD grant programme.
The programme is designed to support researchers and research groups working in the life sciences as well as related interdisciplinary fields.
Funding Opportunities
The EMERALD programme offers three types of support:
- Travel to EMBL sites
Research visits, access to research infrastructure, and participation in EMBO/EMBL courses and conferences
Up to €1,500 - Hosting EMBL scientists in Poland
Support for incoming research visits
Up to €1,500 - Organisation of scientific events involving EMBL participants
Workshops, conferences, and other scientific meetings
Up to PLN 50,000
Eligible Costs
Funding may be used to cover:
- travel expenses,
- accommodation,
- conference fees,
- access to research infrastructure.
All costs are reimbursed upon submission of supporting documentation, including receipts, tickets, and boarding passes.
Application Procedure
Applications must be submitted as a single PDF file and should include:
- a description of the planned activity or project,
- justification and expected outcomes,
- CV and scientific track record,
- a budget,
- confirmation from the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) (in the case of visits to EMBL sites).
Who Can Apply?
The EMERALD programme is open to researchers at all career stages, from PhD students to experienced scientists. It aims to foster international collaboration and support the development of high-quality research initiatives.
