The third edition of the Erasmus+ Staff Week at Wroclaw Medical University has come to an end. The event was organised by the International Relations Office with the support of the Erasmus+ programme.
This year’s edition brought together an international group of 18 participants, including both representatives of international relations offices and academic staff. Among the guests were also representatives of two universities associated with Wroclaw Medical University within the EUGLOH consortium. Participants came from Albania, Croatia, France, Georgia, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Hungary, and Italy.
The Staff Week took place from 18–22 May 2026 and included workshops and thematic meetings. Participants also had the opportunity to visit Książ Castle.
The first day began with an official welcome meeting during which the guests presented their universities, introducing their structure and activities. It was also an excellent opportunity for participants to get to know one another. In the evening, the participants met for a joint dinner, where they had the chance to meet the Erasmus+ faculty coordinators.
During the following days of the programme, the international group visited the university’s key units, including the UMW Library, the Museum of Pharmacy, the Museum of Anatomy, the Botanical Garden of Medicinal Plants, the Medical Simulation Centre, and the Centre for Medical Discoveries.
We consider the Staff Week to be an extremely valuable experience, enabling the exchange of good practices in the field of international cooperation and academic activity. We hope this is only the beginning of our journey as organisers of this event, and that in the coming years we will once again have the pleasure of welcoming representatives of our partner universities to Wroclaw Medical University.
