Is European Democracy Worth It? This provocative question is at the heart of an international research study conducted by the researchers of the PEACE+ project, who are inviting young people to share their views on democracy, civic engagement and the future of Europe.

Young people aged 16–35 are invited to participate
The study is open both to young people with Erasmus+ experience and to those who have never participated in the programme.
The survey covers topics including:
- civic and democratic participation,
- the health of democracy and trust in national and European institutions,
- the state of democracy in respondents’ own countries and at European level,
- social polarisation and the rise of authoritarianism,
- the challenges posed by artificial intelligence.
At a time when democracy is facing many challenges, the voice of the younger generation is particularly important. The results of the study will help researchers better understand how young Europeans perceive democracy, their civic and political engagement, and the future of Europe.
Completing the survey takes approximately 10 minutes, and participation is voluntary and anonymous. The survey is open until 20 November 2026.

We encourage young people aged 16–35 to take part in the study and to share information about it with other young people.
