The Free State of Bavaria awards one-year scholarships to graduates of higher education institutions from Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and Ukraine who wish to pursue postgraduate studies in Bavaria.
The scholarship programme provides funding for:
- postgraduate studies,
- research stays,
- doctoral studies
at state and state-funded higher education institutions in Bavaria.
Applicants should demonstrate in their application that their chosen postgraduate programme or research project is closely connected to their previous studies and that it will contribute to achieving their academic and professional goals.
The aim of the one-year scholarship programme is to strengthen academic cooperation and promote student exchange between Bavaria and countries in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe. The programme provides a valuable opportunity to build international networks, gain new perspectives and further develop academic expertise.
