The XLVIII annual meeting of the Iberian Society of Biomechanics and Biomaterials (SIBB) Congress 2026 will bring together researchers, clinicians, engineers, and industry professionals working across the Society’s three scientific domains: Biomaterials, Biomedicine, and Sports Biomechanics. The congress will provide a forum for the presentation of recent advances, the exchange of ideas, and the development of new interdisciplinary collaborations.
The congress will take place in Porto, Portugal, a city distinguished by its strong scientific ecosystem, internationally recognised universities, and culture of innovation. The meeting will be hosted by i3S – Institute for Research and Innovation in Health, one of Portugal’s leading biomedical research institutes.
The scientific programme will feature keynote lectures, round-table discussions, oral communications, poster sessions, and activities dedicated to Young Researchers, fostering interaction and knowledge exchange across disciplines and career stages.
